The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.Conduct Management is a centralized team within Corporate Risk. Conduct Management has enterprise-wide responsibilities that include case intake (including EthicsLine, EAP, etc.), triage, research, and investigations related to potential team member misconduct. These functions are supported by reporting and analytics capability, training, ethics and ethics advisory, and relationship management support for the front line.The RoleAs part of the Conduct Management Analytics, Insights, & Reporting (CMAIR), you will be responsible for the development of highly complex activities providing insights, developing analytical strategies, performing analytical support and/or modeling for Conduct Management. You will be responsible to design and lead some of the most complex projects/analyses, generally spanning multiple products/business lines/functional areas/data sources and may involve extremely complex analytical application of industry-leading experimental techniques or exploratory data analytics. - -Specific responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with CMAIR teams to identify team member behaviors that can be classified as misconduct
  • Coding and development of innovative, data driven strategy programs serving to identify internal fraud and conduct risk across the enterprise
  • Maintaining a suite of strategy programs designed to detect team member misconduct; partnering with technology teams as necessary to facilitate execution of internal fraud detection strategies
  • Partnering with Enterprise Investigations and CMAIR to evaluate the success of in-flight detective strategy programs; assess and incorporate feedback to improve quality of program output and reduce false positives
  • Provide analytic support to Enterprise Investigations in developing logic necessary to assist with and expand the scope of active investigations

    Required Qualifications
    • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

        • Experience in UNIX/LINUX with CRON knowledge
        • Recent experience working with fraud detection scenario/strategy development
        • Experience accessing/acquiring Wells Fargo operational data for analysis and research
        • Experience in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large, complex datasets
        • Experience in fraud prevention or detection, BSA/AML, investigations of financial crimes transactions or policy violations, risk management or compliance
        • Experience working with Wells Fargo's compliance policies and procedures
        • Ability to understand the big picture combined with the ability to execute tactically
