Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Teleradiologist to join our third shift team. This role is crucial for maintaining our commitment to 24/7 diagnostic availability, providing emergency diagnostic radiology services at a Level 1 trauma center in Des Moines, Iowa as well as additional hospitals across central Iowa.

Third shift volume is very manageable, with an average volume of 100 cases per shift, 6-7 RVU per hour, and an average range of 15-30 CT scans per shift.

  • Analyze and interpret various forms of radiological data during the evening shift, including X-rays, MRI scans, CT scans, ultrasound, and other diagnostic imaging studies. - - - -
  • Provide timely, accurate, and detailed reports to facilitate immediate patient care decisions. - - - -
  • Consult with on-call physicians or other healthcare providers to discuss clinical conditions and imaging results. - - - -
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and practice guidelines concerning radiological practices. - - - -
  • Participate in peer reviews and quality improvement programs to enhance service standards and patient safety.Qualifications:

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a residency in Radiology. - - - -
    • Board certified in Radiology. - - - -
    • Hold or be eligible for a medical license in the state of Iowa. - - - -
    • Demonstrated proficiency in emergency radiology is preferred. - - - -
    • Strong technical skills with radiological information systems and PACS. - - - -
