The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.**Your Responsibilities**As a **Senior Embedded Software Engineer** for **Crop Care Software** **for Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG)** located in **Ankeny, Iowa** , you will be a member of an embedded development scrum team working with multiple stakeholders to build and implement functionality for self-propelled application equipment. In addition, you will:+ Lead technical development in the designing, developing, and testing of software for a broad spectrum of application equipment functionality+ Participate in functional requirement and test plan analysis to drive improvements in system and software implementation as well as quality.+ Operate in a scrum team environment on varying projects with direction from a project lead(s).+ Analyze medium to high complexity customer needs and requests to help formulate plans for execution with minimal supervision.+ Provide product support of the system.**VISA Sponsorship is available for this position****What Skills You Need**+ 4-6+ years of embedded software development experience; Controls experience a plus+ Demonstrated technical leadership in designing systems+ Demonstrated coaching and mentoring to helping other team members grow+ Expert-level experience with C+ Expert-level experience troubleshooting and debugging low-level embedded hardware**What Makes You Stand Out**+ Multiple years of experience in system engineering+ Multiple years of experience of modeling using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow+ Multiple years of experience with Qt+ Multiple years of experience in control system design+ Experience with CAN communication protocols such as J1939 and ISO 11783+ Experience with control system design+ Knowledge of Agile development methodologies/tools.**Education**Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:+ Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Science, or Technology-related discipline.**What You'll Get**At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
