Job Description:
Opportunity to join our board of directors 1000 Friends of Iowa
periodically seeks new community members to join our -Board of
Directors. Prospective -Board members have -a passion for land use
and sustainability and a desire to help -raise the bar on equitable
sustainability in Iowa. As a Board Member, you will drive strategic
direction for our land use work in four main categories: 1.
Sustainable development and smart growth, 2. Climate change and
renewable energy, 3. Transportation, urban sprawl, and annexation,
and 4. Protecting our soil, water, farms and natural resources. You
will also play a key role in ensuring the financial viability of
the organization. Board members must support our mission, vision
and values and be a dues-paying member. Please follow this link to
