---Want to program robots?
Responsibilities Include:--- Design and development of R&D seed
automation/control systems (robots)--- Ability to perform software
development in all phases of the product lifecycle as part of a
small multi-disciplined engineering team. This includes project
planning, deriving requirements from system objectives, designing,
writing and testing code, software deployment, and providing
support.--- Collaboration with domain experts and engineering
support teams to set prioritization of work--- Interfacing partner
and customer business units to ensure seamless enterprise
integration of automation platforms
Required Skills:--- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering,
or related field--- Proven technical expertise (typically 5+ years)
including:o Software control of hardware (electronic, mechanical,
...) systemso Developing multi-threaded/process applicationso
Programming in C#. A C# test will be given to assess proficiency.o
Developing software to interface web services (REST, SOAP)o
Developing in the .NET ecosystemo Developing software systems that
communicate over TCP/IP--- Proven professional experience
(typically 5+ years):o Effectively communicating to technical and
non-technical audienceso Learning domain specific technologies in
order to build efficient and effective systemso Delivering
production quality, testable, re-usable software--- Attention to
detail and data driven decision making
Desired, But Not Mandatory, Skills:--- Programming in C++ and/or
Python (v2 & v3)--- User interface design / implementation using
XAML / WPF--- Experience using fieldbus protocols such as EtherCAT,
SynqNet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus, Profibus, CANopen---
Experience developing software to interface PLCs or motion
controllers--- Experience developing data driven systems using
persistence technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite,
PostgreSQL--- Experience with modern development tools such as Git,
JIRA, NuGet, ...
