Join Casey's Human Resources team as a Leave & Accommodations Supervisor!As a Leave and Accommodations Supervisor, you will lead the team responsible for leave administration and workplace accommodations for the company. This position oversees the vendor partnership and serves as a liaison between the third-party administrator and Casey's in the administration of federal, state, and local leave regulations. You'll ensure that company leaves are properly administrated by the third-party administrator. You'll also be responsible for overseeing the interactive process for ADA and workplace accommodation requests for all company team members and assists in the decision-making process for complex cases.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supports and leads the leave and accommodation team that serves as the point of contact for leave of absence (LOA) inquiries, providing guidance and education to leaders and team members throughout the process.
  • Responsible for contract management and vendor relationship with Casey's third-party leaves and accommodations administrator.
  • Ensures proper operations and compliance with third-party administrator regarding LOA and accommodation inquiries, protected health related information (PHI) as required under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and complies with GINA (Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act).
  • Provides guidance to the leave and accommodation team with respect to the ADA and workplace accommodation interactive process which may include the collection, review and maintenance of documentation not handled by the company's third-party administrator.
  • Leads project work and discussions with Casey's HRIS team and the third-party administrator to ensure proper system tracking of leave statuses and timekeeping codes for the leave and accommodations process.
  • Responsible for developing content and partnering with learning development, communications, and other areas, to deploy leave and accommodations learning modules, training guides, and communications to educate and support Casey's leadership and team members.

      • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Human Resources with at least 5 years of work-related experience in leave and accommodations, supervision and analysis experience preferred.
      • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, local laws pertaining to leave of absence and accommodation, including but not limited to FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), ADAAA (ADA Amendments Act), PDA (Pregnancy Discrimination Act) and other related employment
      • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional) certification is preferred.
      • Proven ability to interact, communicate and influence a wide variety of audiences, levels and roles. Expert in managing multiple projects simultaneously with a strong results/goal orientation.
      • Must be able to deescalate emotional situations while maintaining professionalism with team members.
      • Ability to maintains current knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations in relation to leave and accommodation employment laws.
