Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Location: Des Moines, IA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,523 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months of current PICU / Pediatric Intensive Care experience required License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: PALS (AHA), BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - 24 months minimum of PICU / Pediatric Intensive Care experience - Willingness to float to NICU when needed - Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system - Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association - Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or CNO within the last 24 months Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a PICU setting. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to critically ill or injured infants, children, and teens. Candidates must be willing to float to the NICU when necessary. The unit features a 12-bed, all private-room facility, designed to optimize patient care. The care team includes pediatric critical care doctors. State-of-the-art equipment allows for efficient patient monitoring and intervention. A patient and family-centered environment is prioritized, including private family consultation space. The transport team provides critical care expertise as needed.
