ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVOR - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CVOR Job Details: • Work in a 16-bed cardiovascular operating room with 1:1 patient ratios • Handle average of 35-50 cases per day with turnover expectations of less than 20 minutes • Both scrubbing and circulating experience required, with both roles preferred • Float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran • On-call schedule includes up to 2 overnight shifts per week and 4 weekends per 13-week contract • Weekend call runs from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM • Work with specialized equipment including 3 DaVinci robots, Stealth technology for neuro navigation, and primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma • Service lines include cardiac/PV, neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants • Level 1 trauma center with reserved space for trauma cases • Scrubs provided by facility • 2 years of current operating room experience required • Strong proficiency in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures required • General surgery experience required if not assigned to cardiac cases • Open heart scrubbing experience highly preferred • EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years required • Must have completed a travel assignment within previous 12 months • Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required • BLS certification required Facility: This healthcare facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center featuring a comprehensive 16-suite operating room department that routinely runs 12-14 rooms.
