Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 16 hours per week • Weekend rotation every other or 3rd weekend including holiday rotation if scheduled • No on-call responsibilities • Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 22-bed unit • Care for general medical surgical patients including renal, transplant, and urology patients • Required to float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran • Navy blue scrubs required • EPIC EMR system experience required • Minimum 24 months of current medical surgical experience required • At least one travel contract completed within previous 12 months required • BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required • Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required • Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required • Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within 24 months preferred • Driver's license required • Overtime billable after 40 hours per week (36-40 hrs/week) or after 48 hours (48 hrs/week) Facility: This healthcare organization operates multiple campuses providing comprehensive medical services including specialized care for renal, transplant, and urology patients.
