The team partners with Wells Fargo Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) and the business to plan, schedule, build and deploy technology solutions. Both the BCD GPMO team and their EIT partners are accountable for driving continuous improvements and increased efficiency to WFHL.As part of the BCD GPMO, this Project Manager will be responsible and held accountable to lead medium- to large-scale projects and programs. Projects may relate to business process, system or regulation changes and may be very complex in nature along with medium to high in risk and scope. Projects may be long-term and have impacts across the line of business.This role will report to a BCD PM Team Manager. Success in this role will be driven by the candidate's ability to successfully:

  • Manage a group or series of projects associated with a specific business strategy to obtain benefits and controls; develop and revise project plans, budgets, and status
  • Lead project teams and managing all activities (including strategy and ideation), in a project life-cycle (initiation planning, executing/controlling, and closing) associated with high visibility projects that are long-term, across one or more lines of business and medium to high in risk, scope and complexity -
  • Consult with business partners to clarify and define project requirements and business case, including development of a project Charter -
  • Develop and revise complex project plans and budgets, works with users to understand complex problems and focuses on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines, while demonstrating strong organizational skills and ability to adjust for shifting priorities
  • Create and deliver effective presentations to senior management on projects goals and plans, including status reports
  • Develop and implement program and project level processes, procedures and performance metrics
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage outside vendors
  • Interacts with senior leadership and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives for programs and projects -
  • Use MS Office applications, Project, Visio, Live Meeting, and SharePoint
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver business results
  • Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet aggressive deadlines amid shifting prioritiesOther responsibilities may include:
    • Effectively leverage resources needed for large/high-risk projects
    • Collaborate effectively with external and internal customers and partners
    • Bridge differences between parties at all levels of the organization to come to an agreed upon solutions -
    • Coach and mentor project team members
    • Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how the business will successfully execute their plans ---
    • Establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
    • Exhibit a solid understanding of the intersection between program office, subordinate projects, business operations, technology and other partner groups
    • Exhibit ability to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources; reconcile conflicts break-down high-level information into details

      Required Qualifications
      • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, project delivery, project methodologies, digital product/program management, strategic planning or implementation

        • Demonstrate expertise to manage project allocated resources, without direct authority
        • Experience developing and implementing program and project level performance metrics -
        • Demonstrate ability to collaborating with multiple senior business partners; to create and maintain complex project deliverables
        • Expert knowledge & utilization of project management life cycle methodologies, tools and techniques -
        • Powerful verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
        • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
        • Powerful facilitation, leadership, relationship management and organizational skills
        • Experience in leading large working sessions either in-person and/or virtually
        • Effectively consults to understand expectations and needs to ensure project solution(s) will meet business goals
        • Powerful negotiating skills and ability to lead and champion change management efforts
        • Experience managing essential risk mitigation activities including identification, tracking, follow-up, escalation, and contingency planning on risks, issues
        • Demonstrate experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
        • Demonstrate experience creating and delivering presentations on project goals and plans, including status reports
        • Experience communicating with team members and project staff working in remote locations
        • Engage and/or lead internal team and/or department efforts to improve and mature the effectiveness of the group ---
        • Post-Secondary Degree
        • PMP certified
        • Agile certified and/or extensive agile experience
        • Technical knowledge leveraged in a business environment.
        • Experience leading cross functional projects -
        • Experience managing projects with a budget over $2 million -
        • Leads project staff, including training and providing input to performance evaluations -
        • Experience in program management
        • Business Project Management experience

          Job Expectations
          • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
          • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
