Job Description Job Description Job Description We are seeking a
Machinist to join our team, supporting machining and CNC press
operations for equipment used in the mining industry. This role
involves manufacturing parts to specification by reading and
interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. While
experienced machinists are encouraged to apply, we are also open to
entry?level candidates who have operated any type of CNC machine ,
can read a tape measure, and are willing to learn. Training is
available for motivated individuals looking to grow their machining
skills. Responsibilities Set up and edit CNC machine programs,
including milling machines, lathes, and CNC press equipment.
Operate CNC and manual machinery using proper tooling and setup
techniques. Perform daily maintenance on CNC and manual machines to
ensure safe, reliable operation. Read, interpret, and follow
standard operating procedures for consistent production. Maintain
required tolerances using precision measuring tools such as
micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Utilize programming software for
applicable CNC machines and presses. Essential Skills Experienced
candidates: At least two years in a machining role within a
production environment. Entry?level candidates: Any hands?on CNC
machine experience (school, shop, or previous work), the ability to
read a tape measure, and a willingness to be trained. Proficiency
with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial
indicators. Experience setting up, programming, or operating CNC
machines, mills, or presses. Basic understanding of CNC programming
concepts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with
Mastercam is a plus. Familiarity with rigging and positioning heavy
equipment using jib hoists or overhead cranes. Ability to select
and grind specialty tools when needed. Knowledge of metalworking
properties, cutting speeds, and feeds. Ability to read and
interpret blueprints to build products accurately. Why Work Here

Environment This is a first?shift role , Monday through Friday,
from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM . Job Type & Location This is a Contract to
Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay
range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility
requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to
