Position--This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule
arrangement at the present time.-- The arrangement may be delayed
for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject
to change.----Your Responsibilities--As a Product Development
Engineer--for--John Deere Des Moines Works--located in--Ankeny, IA,
you will, research and specify spray patterns to meet targeted
broadcast and broadcast application requirements.-- In addition,
you will:--
- Collaborate with nozzle suppliers and research institutions to
design and test nozzles to defined requirements.
- Collaborate with Production Systems and Product Marketing
globally to develop and maintain a nozzle portfolio which meets
customer and business needs.
- Design and verify performance of spray nozzle actuators for
targeted broadcast and broadcast applications.--VISA Sponsorship is
NOT Available for this position--What Skills You Need--
- Ability to design and write spray pattern tests and interpret
results
- Translate application goals into nozzle performance
requirements
- Understand drivers of spray drift and mitigation
techniques
- Ability to design precise injection molded nozzles and
tooling
- Ability to design and verify high speed solenoids or nozzle
actuators
- Ability to design and verify high speed measuring systems for
small liquid flows
- Ability and willingness to travel both domestic and
internationally, up to 25%--What Makes You Stand Out --
- Strong collaboration skills with Blue River Technology and
research institutions
- Experience designing spray nozzles
- Experience researching spray drift and mitigation
- Experience with droplet formation and atomization
mechanics
- Experience with spray pattern analysis and measurement
techniques and reports
- Experience with high speed solenoids or actuators for metering
small flows
- Experience with high speed measuring systems for small
flows
- Experience with formulation design and properties of
agricultural pesticides and nutrients
- Experience with polymer specification and selection for
chemical and wear resistance
- Experience with design of precise injection molded parts and
tooling--Education--Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent
related work experience in the following:--
