Position: Landscape Crew Foreman (Stormwater)Location: Urbandale, IACompensation: $25.00 - $28.00+ an hour depending on experience and qualifications.Travel is required for this position. We provide lodging expenses, $55 daily per diem, and the use of a company vehicle during travel. 10-15 days of travel is typical (M-F only). If you have prior experience in Landscaping, as a Lawn Maintenance Foreman, Lead Construction Worker/General Laborer, Groundskeeper, or if you enjoy working outdoors, we want to hear from you!Why youll love being on the Apex team:Year-round full-time workPerformance-based bonuses or other incentives15 days of paid time off annually + 9 company holidaysTravel expenses and daily per diem paid for out-of-town travelCompany-subsidized medical and dentalCompany-paid life, short, and long-term disability401k match, tuition assistance, and continuing education supportWork with the brightest, most creative in the industry with a leading national Environmental Consulting firmWhat youll do:Plan, direct, and schedule landscaping, routine maintenance, and light repairs of stormwater infrastructure (retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, stormwater grates, and other stormwater assets).Lead a crew of 1-3 crew members, communicating and enforcing all safety regulations.Perform mowing, weed-trimming, debris removal, ground maintenance and cleanup, light construction, and maintenance repairs for client properties.Operate landscaping and light construction equipment and maintain the equipment trailer.Prepare reports and document work in the field using Apex proprietary systems.Travel from the shop location via the company truck to client sites locally and regionally. 10-15 days of travel is typical (M-F only).What we're looking for:2-5 years of experience in outdoor labor (landscaping, construction, grounds maintenance and repair, or similar work).Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings. We are a drug-free workplace.Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and a reliable method of transportation.Experience with staff supervision, safety management, and planning and scheduling.Willingness to travel.Ability to perform various physical tasks (i.e. bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, etc.) and work in a variety of weather conditions.Interested?
